Poetry prowess at Chadwell Primary School

I’ve just finished a poetry-packed two days of workshops and readings at Chadwell Primary School, Essex, visiting everyone from the brand-new Nursery children – where we had great fun wiggling our walrus whiskers, counting pancakes and pretending to be kangaroos – all the way up to Year 6, where we wrote collaborative recipe poems for a variety of apex predators! You can read these below, along with some fantastic kennings riddles created by Years 3 and 4, and I’m sure you’ll agree there are whole classrooms full of creative thinkers at Chadwell. Thank you for having me!
