“You will never be alone with a poet in your pocket…”

- John Adams

Why Did My Brain Make Me Say It?

I have poems in the fantastic anthologies below, and my own debut collection, ‘Why Did My Brain Make Me Say It?’, came out at the end of 2024 and is available from all the usual booksellers. It was blurbed by the incredible poetry talents Brian Bilston, Coral Rumble and Brian Moses (do check out their books too), reviewed in The Guardian, made BookTrust Cymru’s ‘Book of the month’, shortlisted for Wales Book of the Year 2025(!), and I’ve just had the exciting news that it’s on the longlist for the UKLA Book Awards 2026. Children say, ‘She really understands how we think’

You can support independent book shops by buying through Bookshop.org, via Amazon or Waterstones, or for a signed and/or dedicated copy made out to whoever you’d like, then just drop me a line through the ‘get in touch’ page and you can pay via PayPal (£10 inc p&p in the UK). I’m including a ‘Why did my brain make me say it?’ pencil and bookmark while stocks last!
