Poems from Laurance Haines Primary

I had a lovely visit to Laurance Haines in Watford recently, and am delighted to share the poems the children came up with during our workshops:

After performing my poem ‘Secret Weapon’ in assembly, it turned out that there were quite a few other blu tack fans, including Gabby and Matilda, who presented me with fantastic odes to the squidgy stuff! You can read ‘Secret Weapon’ in ‘Why Did My Brain Make Me Say It?’, and their poems are below, along with excellent recipe poems from Matilda and fellow budding-poet Carys. If you want your very own jaguar, you’ll be spoilt for choice!

I was also given this bright and beautiful poem by Jiyana and Sofia. I love the ‘lollipop flowers’ imagery - delicious!

A big thanks to Mrs Goss for arranging the day - it was great to meet you all. Keep up with the poetry!
